    Sticky BBQ Honey Garlic Ribs

If you love ribs then why not tuck into these juicy succulent oven baked ribs. These ribs are so good and super easy to prepare. Preparation is quick and most of the time the ribs will be cooking in the oven.

The ribs are initially seasoned with a dry rub that involves simple ingredients and then slathered in a BBQ honey garlic sauce that make the ribs sweet and sticky.

These ribs are definitely a family favourite in my household and my daughters absolutely love them especially as a weekend treat. If you prefer dry ribs then try my bbq honey ribs which is very similar but less sticky.

How to Make Sticky BBQ Honey Ribs

Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 190oC.

Remove the membrane: Remove the membrane from underneath the ribs. To do this, use a butter knife to slide under the thin skin and gently lift the membrane off.

Make the dry rub: Add the salt, black pepper, onion granules, garlic granules, paprika, cayenne pepper and oregano to a small bowl and combine.

Prepare a baking tray with foil, season the ribs and bake: Place a piece of foil large enough to fully wrap the ribs onto a baking trays. Place the ribs onto the foil then pour on the seasonings you mixed earlier. Rub the seasoning all over the ribs ensuring the rack is evenly covered. Wrap the ribs with the foil and seal it like a parcel. Cook in the middle of the oven for 2 hours.

Make the sauce: In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, olive oil and minced garlic then set aside.

Add the sauce to the ribs: Remove the ribs from the oven and drain off any juices. Brush the sauce onto the ribs ensuring you coat the whole rack then pour the remainder of the sauce onto the ribs to use up all the sauce.

Bake again: Return the ribs uncovered back to the oven and cook for a further 25 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
