    Garlic Parmesan Wings

Anyone who knows me, knows I adore chicken wings. It beats all chicken on the bone in my opinion. I love to experiment with different types of wing recipes and along with my family, I’m so in love with this garlic parmesan chicken recipe.

At the moment, I’m trying to reduce the amount of carbs I’m eating as summer is just around the corner and like many people, I want to shift a few pounds in time for the hot weather. This recipe is a great low carb option and goes lovely with a fresh green salad.

You can serve these wings as a party food if you have company and I’m sure your guest will be delighted with them. When serving as a snack or party food, you can pair them with some garlic or sour cream dip with go perfectly with them.

How to Make Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

    Season the chicken

Add the wings to a bowl and season them with salt, black pepper, paprika and crushed chilli. Mix to cover the wings with the seasonings then mix in the baking powder, cornflour and olive oil.

    Bake the wings

Preheat the oven to 200oC and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the wings on the tray and ensure there is space between them. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes turning halfway through. Remove from the oven and transfer the wings to a heatproof bowl.

    Make the sauce

Add the butter to a pan on a low heat then add the mince garlic, parsley and parmesan. Mix until the parmesan melts then remove from the heat.

Combine the sauce with the wings

Pour the sauce onto the wings and mix well to coat the wings. Arrange the wings and sauce on the baking tray you originally used and bake for another 15 minutes. Once baked, allow the wings to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

    Recipe Tips

    • If like me you clean your chicken before cooking then it’s ideal to clean your sink and the areas around the sink with disinfectant after you clean it. Also try and avoid the water splashing everywhere while cleaning. Ensure there are no plates or cups nearby.
    • If you are using more wings then 750g then add a little more of each ingredient. The good thing about this recipe is that all the ingredients don’t have to be exact.

    Storage

Store left over chicken wings in an airtight container, refrigerate and use within 3 days.
