Easy Dumpling Sauce

If you need a quick and easy dipping sauce for your soup dumplings then you must try this dumpling sauce recipe. Sweet, savoury, spicy and a great way to transform dumplings, gyozas or spring rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce reduced salt
  • ½ teaspoon chilli oil
  • ½ teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon soft brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • ½ spring onion finely chopped
  • ½ small garlic clove minced or ½ teaspoon garlic paste optional 

Instructions

  • Add the soy sauce, chilli oil, rice vinegar, soft brown sugar and ginger to a small bowl and mix until combined and the sugar dissolves.
  • Add in the sesame seeds, spring onion and garlic if using and mix well. Optionally, set aside for 10 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse then transfer to a sauce bowl for dipping or spoon over your dumplings.
